Pied-a-terre: Is it really luxury? It’s only been a few days since I finally, eventually realized fall has now completely reached us. The sky is finally darker, the air slightly colder, and the days gradually shorter. You could say I’m more of a sentimental man when fall eventually arrives. Every year I find myself thinking back to the fall of the year before. To the same but different, past darker days. To the chillier wind. And to the same inexplicable melancholy that every year brings around this time. And this year, just like last year, I’m in the same room. In the same pied-a-terre.
The only difference is that this year it’s finally fully furnished. All the design pieces I have meticulously been searching throughout this past year have finally found their place. And this pied-a-terre has finally become a true living space. Of all the spaces I own, it’s probably the one that resembles me the most. And probably the place I have been coming back to the most, when I am not travelling somewhere else around the world.
It the place where only the present exists, where I feel completely at ease. The place I rest my heart and soul. All the pieces I have collected in here look as if that’s where they were meant to belong. Their home, as well as mine. And here comes my best selection of pied-e-terre furniture.
3. APIS II COFFE TABLE
I wanted to keep the theme of sobriety in this space, but I enjoyed playing with contrast. Strong, minimalistic pieces versus softer, more flexible shapes and materials. This piece fit both, and is the natural center of the room. It features a large table top in stained oak with brass details and a base in matte brass.

4. DANDY SIDEBOARD
An extremelt versatile piece, it can be used as a drinks cabinet. Its body is entirely made of solid walnut. It is accented by a brass trim on the body edges and supported by tapered legs with brass ferrules. Scandinavian in a sense, but with a twist.
5. TIMES SIDE TABLE
It’s a simple and sophisticated design table for any modern interior space. A square top supported by clean minimal legs completes its pure simple style. Tabletop is made from luxurious rosewood and the support structure is made from stainless steel.
6. DANDRIDGE SOFA
I almost have no words for this sofa. It’s elegant, sober, minimalistic but modern and always drawing my eyes.
7. ALISEO II SCREEN ROOM DIVIDER
This elegant screen rest on a metal structure with a galvanic finish in 18K gold. It’s in multi-layered beechwood and upholstered with fabric decorated with a gold pattern.
